WaveTouch Tap received

You tapped your way onto the map. This is Experience Island Pitch.

That was WaveTouch. Ours. You did not read a demo — you were one, about ninety seconds ago. One hand, under a second, in the dark. No app, no camera, no cookie. (Or you found us the ordinary way. Either road ends at the same map.) We build the tap, the software behind it, and the whole world both of them live in.

Island Pitch Long Beach LGBTBE + DOBE certified Do Cool Things the Right Way!®

Key

  • Station on the route
  • Where we would start
  • An island you can visit
  • Nine capabilities, all shipped

Station 01You are here

NextWave is the island you are standing on.

Self-hosted membership software for venues, nonprofits, booster clubs, conferences and causes. Members, tiers, benefits, check-ins, redemptions, campaigns and live experiences — running on WordPress you host, in a database you own. WaveTouch is how it reaches into the physical world.

00.0sYour phone came within a few centimetres of a WaveTouch chip. A card, a wristband, a badge, a keychain, a table stand or a tag — whatever you were holding, or standing next to.
00.4sThe chip handed over a URL. Not a hard-coded one. A destination that gets changed from an admin dashboard, in seconds, without anybody ever touching the chip again.
00.9sYou landed here. So did a conversion event, in a first-party database somebody owns outright. No app. No camera. No cookie.

Seven things that same tap can be

  • Tap to Check InDoor staff sees the green flash and the member walks in.
  • Tap to DonateA donation page opens pre-filled with the campaign. No URL fumbling in low light.
  • Tap to PlayEnter tonight's drawing, submit a caption, vote in the room. Back to your conversation in seconds.
  • Tap to RateA star rating opens from the table, the check presenter, or the exit door.
  • Tap to Sign UpMembership signup with the tier pre-selected and the campaign already attached.
  • Tap to RedeemStaff sees what that tier is owed; one tap confirms it. Limits enforced, no manual lookup.
  • Tap to Sharethe clever oneThe owner lands on their own card. A stranger lands on a join page bound to that owner. The same tap is an ID badge to them and an invite to everyone else.

Comes as:

  • cards
  • wristbands
  • badges & lanyards
  • keychains & fobs
  • table stands & signage
  • adhesive tags

QR codes are great. WaveTouch is faster. NextWave runs both.

Station 02Fill in the blank

Island Pitch is capable of the following.

Nine ways to finish that sentence. Every one already exists — nothing below is a plan, a roadmap, or a thing we are “exploring.”

  1. …shipping the whole product, not the deck.

NextWave is the long-form proof — the plugin, the marketing site, the auth, the billing, the agent tooling. We own all of it. You are standing on it right now.

  2. …making the onboarding for automation a conversation instead of a form.

IP Bot, in beta at islandpitch.bot. Four Power Ups shipped — Instagram Auto DMs in Your Voice, two Watch Folder pipelines into HubSpot and WordPress, and the Voice Navigator. Onboarding is The Parley: a conversation, not a permissions form.

  3. …a physical object you can attribute to a person.

WaveTouch — cards, wristbands, badges, keychains, table stands, tags. One chip, repointed from a dashboard, and a conversion event that lands in a database the client owns. It is a product we sell, and it is how you got here.

  4. …a working product in one day, under judges.

NEBULA:FOG:SINGULARITY — San Francisco, 14 March 2026. 23 teams, a 24-hour build. Our entry tied first on every component score at 8.3 out of 10, against a field average of 4.4, and placed second on the AI judge’s comparative deliberation. DYKWYBLS is the SaaS we shipped out of it.

  5. …the database an entire industry's metadata runs on.

EIDR. Media and entertainment metadata, studios and streaming. The case study is published. Our partners and initiatives in that world: MESA, CDSA, and HBO's LMT Initiative.

  6. …treating accessibility as a build gate instead of a remediation invoice.

WCAG 2.2 AA from the first commit, checked by automated accessibility gates in CI rather than promised in a PDF — because building it right costs less than fixing it later. DOBE certified. Knowbility AccessU speaker.

  7. …cloning a voice and putting it into production, not just into a demo.

Cap'n Marisol is a live ElevenLabs voice running The Parley, IP Bot's voice onboarding. Match My Vibe lets you hear your own, free, before you decide anything.

  8. …teaching this, for free, to people who will never be our clients.

LearnAI — five interactive levels, voice-powered, no login, no charge. DYKWYBLS carries eight free lessons. Pitchin' In does the rest.

  9. …writing a world first, and then building the software that lives in it.

Island Pitch World has an archipelago, a crew, two named nemeses and a canon we wrote before the first commit. That is why nothing we ship looks like a template somebody recolored — it was built by people who knew which island they were standing on.

The Mundane finishes that sentence with an adjective. We finish it with an object you can go look at.

Station 03The three islands

All nine ship from three of these islands.

There are eight islands in this world. Three of them are how you work with us; the rest are further down the map.

Certifications and credentials

LGBTBE

Certified LGBT Business Enterprise, National LGBT Chamber of Commerce. Fortune 500 supplier diversity spend targets are real budgets with real gatekeepers. This clears one.

DOBE

Disability-Owned Business Enterprise, Disability:IN. Accessibility is not a service line we bolted on. It is who signs the invoices.

AWS Partner

Cloud credentialing for the procurement teams who ask, and the architectures that have to hold up afterward.

Two diversity certifications at the same time. That is unusual — and in enterprise procurement it is frequently the difference between being allowed to bid and never seeing the RFP.

DYKWYBLS asks the question nobody asks the builder: do you actually understand what you shipped? Eight lessons ride along free. The audit itself is priced, on its own site.

Station 05The map

The rest of the archipelago.

Eight islands, one world. Three of them you can hire. The rest you can just visit — and three of them cost you nothing but the walk.

  • DYKWYBLS

Do You Know What You Built Last Summer?!

    dykwybls.islandpitch.bot

An AI comprehension audit for software builds. The question it asks is uncomfortable and fair: does the builder actually understand what their code does, especially when that code was AI-generated? Four verdicts — Ship It, Lucky Builder, Eyes Open, Let’s Talk. Eight free lessons ride along with it.

Station 06The crew

You will not be walking these alone.

“Island Pitch World is an archipelago of products. Customers travel trails between islands. The crew navigates seas together. Characters move through this world; the nemeses are The Mundane and Chaos.”

IP Bot

Automation Watchdog

Primary mascot and the face of the automation platform. He turns up more places than anyone on payroll. First person, smart friend, slightly nerdy. In demo mode he does not explain — he shows you the GIF.

“I found some things we need to discuss. Every one is fixable.”

Masked Crewsader

Adventure and Advocacy

They/them, floats without a cape. Tells the narrative case studies and the cautionary tales, celebrates every delivery, and carries the advocacy work. The human-feeling counterpart to IP Bot’s robotic charm.

“Another project delivered!”

Cap’n Marisol

Voice AI Navigator

The one you actually hear. She hosts The Parley — an adventure briefing, not a product tour, where you are crew being welcomed aboard and not a prospect being pitched. Mid-low, grounded, slightly melodic. Unhurried, never pushy. She is also the one who meets you at the dock.

“You’re part of something now.”

The nemeses

The Mundane

Generic SaaS drip. Corporate bland. The fifth identical pricing table of the day, the fourth “unlock your potential,” the countdown timer on a page that has nothing to count down. The Mundane is not evil. It is just what happens when nobody decides anything.

Chaos

Disconnected tools that do not talk to each other. A CRM that is three spreadsheets in a coat. A content calendar held together by manual effort, duplicate work and frantic last-minute scheduling. Things technically working, badly — and everybody knows it. That is the ceiling people actually book the first conversation about.

We do not sell against a competitor. We sail against these two.

Cap’n Marisol meets you at the dock.

  • “Just looking? I’ll walk you to the Lighthouse Demo.”
  • “Got the build in your head already? The 3-Hour Tour is your chart.”
  • “Already sailing with us? I’ll hand you to the SOS crew.”
  • “Here for the software? I’ll get you onto NextWave and leave you alone.”

Station 07Do Cool Things the Right Way!®

Five rules we wrote down before we wrote any code.

When someone enters Island Pitch World — through any product, event, or handshake — they are choosing to Experience Island Pitch. Every touchpoint must:

  1. Never feel like a generic SaaS drip
  2. Make your work easier — never automate you out of it
  3. Earn “Do Cool Things the Right Way!®” every single time
  4. Send a crew you recognise — IP Bot, the Crewsader, Cap’n Marisol
  5. Feel like joining a crew, not entering a pipeline

Transparency commitments

Plain English about what we collect, how AI processes it, what humans review, and how to opt out.

Choose Machaca

“An attitude of knowing what your goals are and that you’re ready to negotiate and work hard to achieve them. Respect beyond clothing.”

Which is why the negotiation is real and the number is too. Our rates carry two certifications, accessibility from the first commit, and delivery that ships more per hour. They are published on islandpitch.com (opens in a new tab) — go look before you call, we would rather you did.

I wrote my first code with my father in 1986 on a Commodore 64. Forty years later, the rules above are the ones I would want applied to me as a customer, so they are the ones we build under. Everything on this page is the crew’s work. The opinions in it are mine.

—JdA, Founder and Creative Technologist

Station 08The NextWave of Connection

Four rules and a commitment. Five things they cost us.

An ethos that never changes the code is a poster. Here is the chain, in the order it actually happened — each line we wrote down, and the architecture it forced.

“Feel like joining a crew, not entering a pipeline”

so it forced: consent before identity.

  • No engagement identity is created, and no engagement is tracked, until the visitor explicitly consents.
  • People can take part anonymously — no name or email required to receive an engagement identity.

“Enhance their human workflow, not replace it”

so it forced: the audience lives in your database, not ours.

  • Your audience data lives in your own WordPress database — there is no central NextWave service collecting it.
  • It is your data in your database — export it and migrate at any time, with no per-member SaaS fees on your audience.

“Reflect ‘Do Cool Things the Right Way!®’”

so it forced: a ledger that cannot be quietly rewritten.

  • Every grant and revocation is a permanent, append-only ledger row — nothing is ever edited or deleted.
  • Each consent records the exact version of the wording that was on screen when it was agreed.

The transparency commitment, not a rule

“Plain English about what we collect, how AI processes it, what humans review, how to opt out”

so it forced: per purpose, reversible, and portable.

  • Consent is granted per purpose — someone can agree to engagement tracking and decline marketing.
  • Anyone can revoke consent at any time; revoking one purpose leaves the others intact.
  • Browsers that assert Global Privacy Control are honored automatically.
  • Visitors can export everything tied to their engagement identity, or erase it — self-service or via WordPress’s built-in privacy tools.

“Be non-standard — no generic SaaS drip vibes”

so it forced: integrations that only ever see who opted in.

  • Integrations only ever see the audience that opted into them — targeting is a single-SQL query over active consent.

Every privacy promise above is wired to a feature that exists and a test that passes. If the software ever stopped doing one of them, this page would refuse to publish. Our marketing physically cannot get ahead of our product — not because we are disciplined, but because we took the option away.

NextWave’s audience stack ships no third-party tracker.

Just your own party.

Station 09Four ways aboard

Four trails aboard. Take the one you are already standing on.

No forms that go nowhere, no drip that starts before you asked for it, and no calendar invite you have to fight.

NEW HERE, STILL SURVEYING

Lighthouse Demo

A working consultation. We learn the problem and show you how we would approach it — with something on screen, not a slide. Two siblings sit at the same level if your problem is shaped differently: CRM Strategy, and Branding & Storytelling.

YOU KNOW IT IS REAL, YOU NEED THE PLAN

3-Hour Tour

Three hours, one table, and the whole build on the wall: what it takes, what it costs, and what will bite you in month four. You leave with a roadmap, not a proposal.

READY TO BUILD, MOVING THIS QUARTER

Lighthouse Project

We build it. Platform, API, MVP, CRM implementation, brand system, or a bespoke IP Bot Power Up — accessible and instrumented from the first commit, because that is a build decision, not a phase we bolt on at the end.

ALREADY LIVE, NEED A CREW

Support Our Stuff (SOS)

A monthly crew for what is already shipped: backlog management, delivery, roadmap integration, monthly review. Light Lift Crew, Full Sail Crew, or Heavy Seas Crew, depending on how heavy the seas get. And every request gets sized out loud.
